ABOUT KEVIN HAYES
Kevin’s journey into radio started back at Fountain-Fort Carson High School when he and his best friend heard they could attend Pikes Peak Community College for free. They figured working in TV or radio sounded pretty cool, so they decided to give it a shot and signed up for the TV and Radio program. As they say, the rest is history!

Music DNA
First JobKevin got his first taste of the radio business as an intern at Z-93/KVOR/Transtar in Colorado Springs, where he primarily worked as a board operator. At the time, Transtar was home to some of the best radio personalities in the country, and since they all worked in the same building, Kevin had the incredible opportunity to meet and learn from some of the industry's best!
What I Love Most About RadioThe music definitely! I was always a music geek, I made a lot of cassette mix tapes while listening to Kasey Casem on the weekends! I love being creative and saying interesting things.
